Interact with an updraft generator to form a temporary updraft nearby. Updrafts can be used with flying mounts and gliders to reach inaccessible areas.

Lesser Arcane Treasures

Exp: 1,016,000 - Points: 4

Lesser arcane treasures are small treasure chests found in Secrets of the Obscure maps. Interact with them and perform a small skill challenge to open them for rewards.

Ley-Loom Operation

Exp: 1,524,000 - Points: 5

Interact with a ley loom to cause a temporary ley line to form nearby. Ley lines can be used with flying mounts and gliders to reach inaccessible areas.

Greater Arcane Treasures

Exp: 2,540,000 - Points: 6

Greater arcane treasures are large treasure chests found in Secrets of the Obscure maps. Interact with them and perform a skill challenge to open them for rewards.

Astral Amenities

Gain an experience enhancement while within the Wizard's Tower.

Astral Craft

Exp: 1,016,000 - Points: 3

Astral armor and motivation recipes can be purchased from Lyhr in the Wizard's Tower. Uncommon Kryptis Motivations can be used with the Heart of the Obscure to find tier 2 Kryptis rifts. Using a motivation on a Kryptis rift results in bonus essences when it is sealed.

Emotion Control

Exp: 1,524,000 - Points: 4

Rare Kryptis Motivations can be used with the Heart of the Obscure to find tier 3 Kryptis rifts. Beware! These rifts should not be attempted alone!

Rift Mastery

Exp: 2,159,000 - Points: 5

Receive more Kryptis essences when closing rifts. Kryptis essences are powerful crafting materials used in baits, weapons, armors, and legendary armors.

Who Rescues Whom?

Exp: 381,000 - Points: 2

Unlock the A New Friend achievement (after completion you will be able to summon Skyscale outside of Secrets of the Obscure maps). If you also have Skyscale Mastery Air Rescue trained, your skyscale may gain the Bond of Vigor effect shortly after mounting in midair. (Note: the Bond of Vigor effect seems to have an internal cooldown of about 10 seconds, and will not activate if you were riding your Skyscale within 3 seconds prior to mounting midair.)

Fireball

Exp: 508,000 - Points: 2

Use the Fireball skill while on your skyscale to spit a fireball at aerial targets. Action camera can be used to enhance your accuracy.

Wall Spring

Exp: 635,000 - Points: 3

While clinging to a wall with your skyscale, hold the jump key to charge your flight meter and release it to launch into the air. This requires at least one bar of endurance. If you also have the Wall Launch Skyscale Mount Mastery trained, this ability charges faster and launches farther.

Enhanced Updrafts

Exp: 762,000 - Points: 4

Updrafts are pillars of swirling wind. To use updrafts, simply fly your mount into them and receive an elevation boost.

Combat Launch

Exp: 1,016,000 - Points: 4

Open the Activate Mastery Skill panel and select Skyscale to launch yourself into the air and mount your skyscale. This can only be used once every 3 minutes.

Ley-Line Acclimation

Exp: 1,524,000 - Points: 5

Ley lines are flows of magical energy. To use ley lines, simply fly your mount into them and allow the energy flow to boost your mount along.

Rising Spirits

Exp: 2,159,000 - Points: 6

Your flying mounts now gain flight endurance from updrafts and ley lines.
